PERFORMANCE COMPANY
Our Performance Company is composed of actors and technicians who have completed an audition and been cast in our current production.
Rehearsals will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 10th to December 15th, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Members must attend all studio rehearsals and dress/tech rehearsals as per the production schedule. Weekly rehearsals will take place at our studio, Unit 11, 310 Limeridge Road West, Hamilton.
Performances for the public will be held at the Zoetic Theatre November 29th and December 1st.
Members must be available for all performances. Technical rehearsals and performances will take place at The Zoetic on 526 Concession St, Hamilton.

TRAINING COMPANY
Our Training Company is composed of theatre artists, ages 14 and older who are keen to hone their craft through weekly lessons in performance technique, movement, and scene work.
Students in the Training Company are serious about their pursuit of the performing arts. They take creative risks and develop their technique through weekly lessons. At BIG HEARTS little theatre, we encourage actors to train in as diverse a skill set as possible! Lessons are varied and include elements of Broadway styles, Tap, Scene Studies, Acting, Clown, Theatrical Genres, Script Writing and Analysis. Placements in the Training Company are limited. Interested students should inquire early and must complete an interview process for acceptance into the program.

ACTING FUNDAMENTALS CLASSES
Our Acting Fundamentals classes are composed of young theatre artists who are keen to hone their craft through weekly lessons in performance technique, movement, characterization, and scene work.
Students in these classes are excited about furthering their skills in singing, dancing and acting. Drama warm-ups, character work, scene studies, vocal exercises, and broadway dance. This is a busy class and there is always something new to explore.
Monday Evenings

YOGA CLASSES
This guided session is intended for late teens and adults. Participants will be led through gentle poses in low light, with soft music. You will leave feeling deeply relaxed, calm, and ready for a good night’s rest. This isn’t a “workout”, it’s a wind down, physically, mentally and emotionally.
Erin is a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor, having completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and Levels 1 and 2 of Trauma Informed Movement Practice with Heal Evolve Thrive. Erin has a peaceful presence and creates a safe space for practice. The focus is on breathing, slowing down and creating peace in our hearts, minds, and bodies, which can return the nervous system to a more balanced state.

COMMUNITY COMPANY
Our Community Company is composed of performers from within the BIG HEARTS little theatre Performance and Training Companies, as well as the Acting Fundamentals classes. These performers will earn community service hours by sharing their love of theatre with audiences at retirement homes, hospitals and charity events.
Students will prepare and contribute to the development of community service events. Student transportation to and from community service events will be the responsibility of their parents/guardians. Students who work with the Community Company will earn community service hours towards the mandatory 40 hours of community service required for their O.S.S.D. They will also gain valuable performance experience, learn BIG HEARTS little theatre Community Company repertoire, and provide a service to the community as a whole.
There is no fee to be a part of these community service events. Upcoming events will be posted to our social media accounts as well as on our studio bulletin board.

ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER HOURS OPPORTUNITIES
Other volunteer opportunities are available with our Community Company. These may include ushering for BIG HEARTS little theatre performances, creating props, set and costumes, advertising, promotions, and community events.
